This will be our official 3D image thread.

Now, just because this exists, it doesn't mean that all 3D images must be placed here, or even that new threads shouldn't exist. In particular, I see no reason to merge the AR thread with this.

That said, if an image doesn't seem to be worth starting a new thread for, please use a relevant, pre-existing thread :)

Note: Images can be directly uploaded to the forum from your 3DS system. To see an image in 3D, click and hold the image from your 3DS browser.

I'll post a few images in a moment.

Note: Press ‘preview’ under the upload form, NOT ‘add the file’.

I might have to purge some old attachments and and/or raise the limit. I have company at the moment, so I'll get to it in a bit.

I have also received that message. I know you said you will look into it. Until then, I have uploaded some of my photos to Photobucket and am just linking to them here.

EDIT: NM. I can't upload the files on photobucket. I thought it would work but they keep coming out as 2D, even if you hold down on them with the stylus. Oh well, I will wait then. I have several pictures I want to upload but I don't have the time right now to go to 3dspaint.com and upload them one at a time, at least not on the 3DS browser.

I'll just upload the photos here from my pc later on.

Sorry about the delay - my connection has been painfully slow.

I increased the attachment budget from 50 MB to 100 MB, and deleted a small handful of orphaned (unposted) attachments. That should do for the moment.

The image in the middle, of they 'creature' had the best 3D. It was really cool. :D

Finally transferred my 3DS pictures to the computer when I copied everything from the 3DS SD card to my computer to put on my new 8 GB SD card :). Plenty of space for pictures and videos now! And my potentially huge VC game collection.

I guess we should rename this to the 3D image/video thread now. I have two 3D videos I took with my 3DS to post.

First is a video of my pet Quaker Parrot named Vicky and she attacks the camera in 3D... her head jumps right out at you! Check it out:

And then it's a video of some fake flowers have... they looked cool in 3D so I figured I'd record something short. Check it out:

To play those on the 3DS, go into the DCIM folder I believe it is and go to the very last folder there. Then, rename the files to fit in with what you have... for example, if the last photo or video you have is named "HNI_0023", then rename the downloaded file to "HNI_0024", to keep the pattern going. It should show up on your 3DS when you go to view it, though it'll show up for the date I recorded the video, which is today. So if you download this a few days from now, don't be confused if you don't see it, it'll be there under 12/8/11 on the 3DS. Enjoy!
