Just got this from Nintendo of America, via email:

What's up with the weird and ever changing times? Some directs are at 5am, others at 9am, this one's at 8am (all times are my local times). I'll be watching the rerun of it when I get to work as I'll be on my way to work when this airs. I won't be checking email, twitter or FB until I watch it. No spoilers for me!

YAY! New Wii U games and services, sound very interesting. I'd expect more release dates for Wii U stuff as well. Either way, looking forward to it! Got class from 8 am to 9:40 am, so I'll watch it after that before my 11 am class.

Looks like Iwata will change it up a bit this time around. Who knows what that means, though. Guess we will find out in about 12 hours...

WOW! That Nintendo Direct was awesome!

- Wii U Virtual Console with GBA games and everything... and we only need to pay small upgrade fees, which is exactly as I suggested!
- NES Anniversary celebration with 30 cent titles like Balloon Fight releasing today!
- Wii U updates in the Spring and Summer, which fixes loading speeds!
- New Miiverse updates like communities and coming to smartphones soon!
- The Wonderful 101 looked great!
- Cool Pikmin 3 photo feature with Miiverse integration!
- Smash Bros finally confirmed at E3 this year!
- NEW 3D Mario and NEW Mario Kart PLAYABLE at E3 this year!
- Wii U Party coming this Summer!
- Changing the conventions of the Zelda series including solo play, so sounds like potential Zelda multiplayer!
- Wind Waker HD remake this Fall which I never played on GCN so I'm looking forward to that!
- Yoshi games in the style of Kirby's Epic Yarn!
- And all these other games like that Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem crossover and the "X" game from Monolith Soft!

Just wow. That is awesome! Most of that stuff I'll probably get, aside from the stuff in that last bullet point above. So there is a lot of content on the way. Even if many of those don't come this year, some like Mario Kart and 3D Mario will be playable at E3 so they're not too far away! Nintendo definitely delivered this time around. And now I'm very hyped for E3 as well!

Miiverse stuff is always nice, sounds like it will be better.

Virtual console, YES YES YES. When they were saying a discount price, I was like oh man, watch it be like $4 instead of $5 or something. But $1? That's fair to me. Virtual console campaign? YES PLEASE. I'll likely get every one of those. 30 Cents for each of them? Definitely. Here's a review list (I was able to pause it)
Jan - Balloon Fight
Feb - F-Zero
March - Punch Out! (Mr. Dream version :()
April - Kirby's Adventure
May - Super Metroid
June - Yoshi
July - DK

I'm unsure if I'll get F-Zero, but for 30 cents, and 10 coins? Why not. I only have about half of those (Punch Out, DK, Super Metroid), so 30 cents still beats a buck or a buck fifty.

I am stunned that Mario 3D and MK will be at E3, the one I get to go to! Oh man. Finally, the new Atlus game looks good along with Monolith Soft's game. Wow, I'm hyped for E3 and can't control myself.
