This basically confirms a third version of Black/White, which was pretty obvious it would happen anyways, but more proof is always good.

The Pokemon Keldeo has been officially revealed, as expected. We'll probably get details on how to get Keldeo in the coming weeks. Personally, I'm more interested in the inevitable new Kyurem forme and third version of Black/White, which we should find out about in the coming months.

So... there's a big announcement coming!

Game Freak director Junichi Masuda has been hyping something big. There was a Q&A session at Tokyo's Pokemon Center a few days ago and a fan asked for him to tell them some information on Pokemon Black/White's sequel. He replied "I can't answer that yet. Well, I can say to watch the next Pokemon Smash" (Pokemon Smash is the new name for Pokemon Sunday by the way, the weekly Pokemon-dedicated TV show in Japan). Then a few hours later, he posts on Twitter saying "Please watch next week's Pokemon Smash live or check my Twitter!"... hmm, wonder what that's about. Now, his comments don't confirm anything, but they seem to imply that we shall get a Pokemon Grey announcement. But if this didn't seem like a hint, Masuda then posted this on his blog...



So, looks like we can expect an announcement VERY soon! How soon? Well, tomorrow night. Since Pokemon Smash airs Sunday in Japan, that's Saturday night in the US... and if I did my calculations correctly based on the time mentioned in his blog post, that's 5:30 pm tomorrow (Saturday the 25th). Now, it's quite possible that they may just reveal a new Kyurem Forme or something and not a new game... but such a revelation would indirectly 100% confirm a third version of Black/White. Personally, I just want this game on the 3DS, that's what will make me excited. Hopefully it is!

If it's PKMN Grey, then it is lame. If it's Grey on 3DS, then that's slightly less lame. If it's Pokémon Typing getting localized to the US, then that's awesome (joking (actually not (but I know it wouldn't be announced through this))).

Agreed. (It'd be nice to have a Pokemon game on the 3DS (Even if it's not particularly NEW (I mean just thinking about it in 3D, with the bridges zooming in and out, that'll look cool ( I like pie : ))))).

I guess if its Gray it would get me to finally open up and start White, doubt Ill do post story stuff though or go into it as deep as I did past games. I really only like playing extensively in the third versions. Oh darn, be funny if they just skipped a third version and went straight to the next gen.

Well, Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2 are a surprise!

First off, I'm posting this in the 5th Gen topic because that's where it applies. If we have a separate topic for Black 2 and White 2, then it will get really confusing with future Pokemon distributions and all that. So I'm posting all my Black 2 and White 2 stuff in the 5th Gen topic where it belongs. Anyways....

I should add that these are releasing for the DS on June 2nd in Japan. Supposedly, they will have additional DSi/3DS features (if I had to guess, I would guess that means DSi-enhanced features which would also carry over to the 3DS... NOT 3DS exclusive features). The two new formes of Kyurem are known as "Black Kyurem" and "White Kyurem".

I'm not sure what to think of this. My initial reaction is definitely disappointment. A DS game?! Really? Ugh, was really hoping for a 3DS title. But I also realize this is the first time we have a direct sequel, and thus this could potentially be really interesting. So I probably will end up getting this, but I'm not really that hyped for it. We really don't know much about it yet. I guess I should really finish up Pokemon White version then. It's also interesting that this releases in June rather than the Fall like the usual Japanese releases... which means this could possibly come to the US this year then, so that's nice.

The new poster shows off Black Kyurem and White Kyurem. But also notice the Pokemon Meloetta at the bottom. Seems that Meloetta will star in a mini-movie called Meloetta's Sparkling Recital. I don't think we've ever had two reveals of a Pokemon this close before... all that's left after Meloetta is Genesect. And with Black 2 and White 2 releasing in June rather than the Fall like many expected, maybe the 5th Generation will be shorter than usual.

Wait a second, I just noticed something kind of interesting. Take a look at this...



Notice that Pokemon Black 2 features Black Kyurem (which corresponds to Zekrom) and Pokemon White 2 features White Kyurem (which corresponds to Reshiram). That's the opposite of Black/White. Pokemon Black featured Reshiram and Pokemon White featured Zekrom. So for example, if you want the stuff that corresponds to Zekrom, that would be Pokemon White and Pokemon Black 2.

So looks like if that is indeed the case, then I'll be getting Black 2 since I like Black Kyurem more.

Well, I've put down FF13 to play some Pokemon White. Basically just building a team that covers most things I need, good physical attackers, guys that can take a hit, and an awesome special attacker.

Just as I thought, Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 will release in North America... THIS FALL! Since this is a DS game and a sequel, they can rush it out quicker so we won't have to wait too long for this which is great.

Also, just wanted to mention something as well. People on some other forums have been confused with the naming because the US PR calls it "Pokemon Black Version 2" and so people think it's the same game but with extra stuff cause it's "Version 2". No, that is wrong. Officially, every mainline Pokemon game in the US has the word "Version" at the end of it. So it's more like Pokemon Black Version and then the number 2, rather than Pokemon Black: Version 2, if that makes sense. Basically, expect no new Pokemon, but maybe some new formes like Black Kyurem and White Kyurem. The story will likely be a sequel from Black/White of course. No idea what region it'd be set in, but possibly Unova again. But basically, like an expansion of Black/White... a sequel to the story, no new Pokemon.

I'm actually looking forward to this. Initially, I was disappointed at the fact it's a DS game (and I still am), but I like that they're rushing to get this game out. If we went by the previous timeline, we wouldn't have gotten a new game until Spring next year, but we only have to wait until the Fall... so that's a win. Plus, it's a new story rather than just the same thing with extra features like third versions usually are... so that's a win. So even less of a wait until the true Gen 6 on 3DS and we have new content to keep us busy until then, works for me.

The secret about Kyurem is that their making a 2 new games called Pokemon black2 and Pokemon white2 in pokemon black2 Kyurem combines with Zekrom because of N's dad and in pokemon white2 Kyurem combines with Reshiram because of N's dad

I decided to not get it. I'm getting burnt out on Pokemon and the fact that this was a DS game didn't help. I'm looking forward to the inevitable 6th gen 3DS game... hopefully they ditch the sprites and go with the 3D models from the Pokedex 3D Pro.

Speaking of which, I did buy the Pokedex 3D Pro. The models looks great, love how the animations look and everything.

I was thinking to myself why shouldn't they release a 3ds version, not another DS version again. If there would be a 6th gen it would have to be a usable for the wii u, so you can download to it for another pokemon stadium I would assume.

Most players whom have played pokemon would love to see the developers remake the series, but I don't think they will until the 3D sprites would be perfected. I like the pokedex 3D pro as well, I wonder what the wii u will offer for the pokemon stadium if it is released for this platform?
