I could see it, one of the worst pokemon in the series turns boss.

The Pokemon Direct was interesting today. I really like the addition of Pokemon Bank but I'm not too thrilled about it being a paid service. I get that it will need maintenance but an annual fee just to store Pokemon online and to transfer them from Gen V to Gen VI is a little annoying.

I thought I read something about there potentially being a "trial period" or something like that. Don't quote me on it, but personally that should be enough time for me to transfer some of my favourite Pokemon over before never touching it again.

I really like the Mega Evolution gen 1 starters, but am kind of disappointed that they're not exclusive to non-evolving Pokemon like Absol and Kangaskhan. It would give me more incentive to use them. If I have any complaints about the Pokemon franchise, it's that I always seem to feel overpowered even if I'm not levelling up my party beyond battling trainers. Making strong Pokemon like Mewtwo even stronger just seems a bit much to me.

So how 'bout that new Pokemon information from Coro-Coro?

http://www.nintendofuse.com/2013/09/11/ ... nd-y-info/

As excited as I am for the games, making Garchomp even stronger through Mega Garchomp just seems a bit overkill to me.

Yet another rumor from PokeBeach come true... Mewtwo has another Mega Evolution. The new stuff looks great overall. Make it so much harder for me to decide between X and Y version though.

As for starters, what's everyone going to pick? I'm going with the triple combo of Squirtle/Torchic/Chespin. Torchic will be given over Wi-Fi, then we get to pick a Kanto starter and one of the newer starters. Between Squirtle and Bulbasaur, I like the Blastoise Mega Evolution more. And since I like Chespin and Froakie equally, that works out. So Squirtle/Torchic/Chespin for me. What's everyone else picking?

I think I've decided to skip this one. Already too much to play and not enough time. Gonna stick with ACNL for my go-to 3DS game.

I'm going to try and play through X using only Gen VI Pokémon. As for my Kanto starter I'll take Bulbasaur as he is one of my favorites.

Froakie's definitely going to be my starter, but I'm going to try to shelter myself from news leading up to the game's release from this point onwards so there are at least a couple surprises left for when I finally play the game. In all honesty, there aren't too many non-water type Pokemon that I'm interested in (I never really noticed how I always seem to choose water Pokemon until just now), but I might catc Flabebe or some other Fairy-type Pokemon to try them out!

Also, we're working on an article for the site about what the staffers/some of the forum members want to see in X and Y. If you want to participate, simply post a list of five things you want to see with a description of each. These can include details from previous games that you enjoyed, mechanics you've always wanted to see, etcetera.

Ideally, these should be submitted by this Sunday, September 22. If we don't have enough feedback by then, I will extend the date!

Well, nobody's said anything yet... that's a bit disappointing. Article will be going up in the next few days.

I am having such a hard time deciding which version to get. Took me forever to decide I want Chespin... still hoping I don't regret that choice once we see all the starters' final evolutions. I probably won't fully decide which version of X or Y to get until next week, just a few days before it releases. I need more info on the version differences, so I hope that kind of stuff leaks out a bit.

Personally.. I decided to go ahead & get both versions. That way I can have the water type in one & the grass type in the other. Then I can trade Pokemon to myself; per-usual. xD

@ DarkWish: Actually there has been some leaks about Pokemon X & Y. Thanks to another forum I'm on; I know all about the leaks for Pokemon X & Y. I'm not reading the posts though.. You do it if you want. I won't because I'm not prone to spoilers prior to playing the game. :P

Yeah, I've officially decided to skip X & Y. With Zelda: ALBW coming out and me still sinking time into ACNL, I don't want to jump into a big Pokemon game. Hope you all enjoy it, though. Looking forward to hearing what you all think.

Yea, I've been following the leaks and everything. I haven't read all the details, but I've glanced at a few new Pokemon and seen some tidbits. I like to keep my hype going with little tidbits here and there but I've avoided really reading too much into the spoilers. The final starter evolutions leaked for example and I saw those to confirm if I made the right choice or not and I think I did. I like Chespin's final evolution, it's pretty cool.

I think I finally decided to get Pokemon X. Anyways, I can't wait for this game! This week has been crazy busy, but things should calm down a bit soon, at least enough to play a little bit of video games. And handheld games are perfect for when I have a bit of time here and there. I'll be on a business trip in San Antonio during the release of Pokemon X/Y. I'll try to bring my 3DS XL with me and download Pokemon X from the hotel when it releases or something. Can't wait!

Has everyone been seeing all the reviews for this? I'm pretty excited, just one more week (in which I will continue playing far too much GTAV). I'll be picking up Y, and my sister will eventually get X.

You were able to catch Eevee's in Black 2 and White 2. Furthermore with breeding why would being able to catch them even matter?

it seems as if nintendo is trying to make the x version better than the y version... They are giving the x version advantages to the y version. But in a way, thats still not working. IMO mega mewtwo looks better in y and so does yvetal..

Why do you think they are trying to make X better than Y? Seems like they both have advantages ( refer to my handy dandy sorta-kinda chart )

Handy Dandy Chart
X Better Charizard
Y Better Mewtwo
X/Y both have a version exclusives

Or you could always get both or find a friend who has the version you don't.

I always go with the grass starter. I also have a friend who's getting Y so he'll breed me what ever starter he is using and trade it for one I breed for him.
