10/25/12 Nintendo Direct (mostly 3DS focus)
Nintendo of America had announced a new Nintendo Direct for tomorrow at 10 am eastern time. It will feature in-depth looks at several announced 3DS games coming this holiday, and also a peak at a few games coming next year. No mention of Wii U so seems this will be totally 3DS focused.
On a semi-related note, rumor is Wii is getting a YouTube app tomorrow with a 3DS YouTube app coming next year. Perhaps we'll hear about that tomorrow? We'll see...
UPDATE: Can a mod move this to "General Gaming"? Seems Nintendo of Japan announced one as well... but theirs is mostly about 3DS and a bit on already announced Wii U titles. It's happening at 8 pm Japan time tomorrow... which is 7 am eastern time tomorrow for us.

I can probably call it right now: Professor Layton’s new game, Sticker Star, Brain age 3DS, Crashmo, Fluidity Spin Cycle, and perhaps some 3rd party stuff like Epic Mickey. Also NSMB 2 DLC pack #2.
Sneak peaks: Animal Crossing, Luigi’s Mansion, Fire Emblem (maybe), and perhaps a third party title, like Castlevania.
I think it'll be pretty close to 100% of this list. Just iffy about Spin Cycle preview and third party titles.

Seems the only Wii U stuff shown was Dragon Quest and Monster Hunter... I don't care about those, but they're huge sellers in Japan. In terms of 3DS... Animal Crossing looks awesome, can't wait for that. Also somewhat interested in the Layton/Phoenix Wright crossover, that could be cool. The big megaton for me was Daigasso Band Brothers a.k.a. Jam with the Band for 3DS! The DS game is the only game I've ever imported (got the English version from Europe) and it's awesome. So I REALLY hope that NOA localizes this game.

Re: 10/25/12 Nintendo Direct (mostly 3DS focus)
Caught the end. I think it's really bad how some games look amazing on 3DS, and others from descent publishers/developers look just ok. Monster Hunter, Layton, & Fire Emblem look soooo good. But Sonic & Sega Racing was just meh, in my opinion. I think they need to use a better engine for the 3DS or something. I'm not a developer, so I won't even try to act like I know it all, but going on visuals, some are heads-and-shoulders above the rest.

Looks like I only missed out on the new Brain Age game. Kind of surprised since they did announce a date for it in early December. Nothing ground breaking since it was all games we know about and have seen trailers for. Well I didn't get to see good trailers for Crashmo and Fluidity until today, along with Fire Emblem and Animal Crossing. Rest was okay. Wish they'd throw us a curve ball and announce a new game or series. That's the problem NOA gets behind so we hear about it in Europe or Japan first, then later here. Why can't they be more in sync?

That's what I was thinking too.. No Fire Emblem, no Paper Mario? He doesn't seem to fit the type for Mario, so I left Paper Mario out. I'll be getting both games. Fire Emblem looks great, and after my intro with Scared Stones (thanks Ambassador program), I really like the series. I have older Fire Emblem titles on my to-get list, not sure if I'll be able to get them all, but definitely interested in future titles.
