Even adds in ones when you die. They say coin rush is 1 life, but when you die it will still add all the coins in.

If you die in regular mode, it still adds them in too.

On the title, map and coin rush menu screen it shows the counter of how many you have.

Yep! You accumulate them over time. Even if you die, your coin count goes up based on how many you had at the time. Basically, this is more for replay value than anything else. So, in addition to beating the main game, collecting all the Star Coins, and unlocking all the secrets, and competing against others via StreetPass, you also have a goal of collecting 1 million coins.

My race will be growing exponentially... over 105,000. Pretty sure I got all the exits (wasn't notified) but all the levels are active. Acquired all star coins, spent most of them as well (not sure why there's some left over).

I have over 37k coins and all but one star coin. I just beat Bowser (im still missing the first star coin from Bowser Castle though.) Now I have the Star world with its moon coins and Coin Rush Mode.

EDIT: got the missing star coin. Now I'm off to the Star World!

Played on the train today... went from 125k to 165k. Set a new streetpass record, 17,610. People won't want to street pass me! I tried the record 3 times. I got a lucky set of levels, my original best was 10k, and bumped it up to that 17k above. Tried it a third time and only got 10k again.

While this is only Mushroom pack of levels, they are hard ones to hit the top of the flagpole. Third one is easiest as it's a castle so you automatically get the 2x when you win.

41813 coins. All star and moon Coins. All secret exits found.

Hmm, I seemed to have double my count within 24 hours (about 2-3 hours of playing)... 330,275.

Yeah... I've not played much since beating the initial game. Still at 60-something thousand, I think.

I'm a completionist, I only hit 903,000 before my 3DS died. Should be able to hit the mark this weekend. Then time to play other games again! It's a stupid goal to get, but just want to be part of the million club.

Hit the 1 million mark before bed. Second NintendoFuse member, first if we don't count the guy that came to brag and never came back.

Also noted in the complete thread that I 100%ed the game. 5 star file (5 different areas to complete) and hit 1 million coins.

After the podcast tonight, I played some more of the Gold Rush Pack. I hit the 30,000 max coins and am at a total of 186,165 now.

Not yet but I think that there only 2.50 so I will get some today and get 1,000,000!

probably woulde have done it a while ago if i weren't so lazy but i finaly collected a million coins. Im disapointed with the reward though

Agreed with the reward part, I did it because I tend to be a completionist for games that I play. I shoot for the 100%, so that's why I went through with it.

I guess I got it yesterday but I was up and got it at 11:48 central so I made it, reward not impressed

I heard that theres even a reward for getting 10million coins i think the mario statue is a different color though

I caved... I bought the Nerve-wreck pack yesterday. Man those courses really are HARD. Need those types in the regular game, at least in a special world.

The first level is a switch frenzy course. You hit a switch and run on coin-turned blocks and have to make it to the next switch, hit it, and continue on. I beat it eventually only to get stuck at level 2. I haven't beaten #2 yet. It's a volcano themed course and appears important to bounce on top of Koopas. I just need to get the timing down and not lose my power leaf in the second set of Koopas.

I just got the nerve pack not to long ago and i cant beat the 2nd level its just to hard for me. If this was in the special world it would be like one of the last ones or not even. The special ones are normal compared to this level. I see why they call it the nerve pack. I'm at 1.3m coins. loosing lots of lives

Pretty sure I'm either not going to get to the million or just stick to the coin rushes that give me tons of coins.

Ummmmmm I just read some epic news.

Japan had a Nintendo Direct Mini earlier, and they got news of a new DLC pack. Apparently it will be CLASSIC Mario levels remade.

It's apparently SMB 1-1, 1-2, 1-4, ans SMB 3: 1-1, 1-5. Also it's FREE for a limited time, and normal 200 Yen after this period.

We are supposed to get DLC this month... so YES PLEASE!

I wish there were more levels from 3 but I'll get over that, especially if it's free. I can't justify buying the coin rush packs because I'm not all that into coin rush mode. Extra levels on the other hand would be welcome additions for me.
