 Rayman Legends
Word on the internet street states that Rayman Legends is no longer exclusive to the Wii U, and also it has been delayed yet again until September for a universal launch on all platforms (includes 360 and PS3).
Obviously it hurts, but I really don't see the logic behind delaying the Wii U version as it has to be close to completion or already completed.

 Re: Rayman Legends
How many people would buy a system excessively for a Rayman game anyways? I know I wasn't holding out for it or anything. I don't see why people are saying this is going to hurt the Wii U.

I don't see why people are saying this is going to hurt the Wii U. Well it hurts the Wii U since it is no longer an exclusive title. Exclusives drive system sales since you need to have to purchased the console. Obviously there aren't any members on this board that I know of that this has strongly affected, but there are comments from upset fans on Ubisoft's facebook page. Some people have purchased the Wii U for this game or were planning to purchase the console for it. Likely not a major impact. Most fans are more upset that the Wii U version is delayed until Sept when it was supposed to launch in 19 days. The game has likely been done or super close to being completed and due to the agreement with MS all platforms have to launch the same day. I also have see additional issues with this. Namely other titles will be released this year by Nintendo and other companies, so I see it as that we are in the "Game drought" now, and one of the nearest titles is being pushed back. Some fans may have to choose this one or that Wind Waker HD. We have little to no idea when other titles are coming, but they certainly could be Sept and some may would rather have a different game.

 Re: Rayman Legends
Yes, while Rayman might not initially seem like a system-seller, Greg is right in saying that exclusives are what sell a system. However, I also understand Ubisoft's POV by wanting the game on more systems, as to make more money. They aren't interested in selling consoles – only copies of their games. And with the Wii U not having the install base of the PS3 & 360, I can see how that is appealing to them. However, with the new systems from Sony & Microsoft probably launching this fall/holiday, I'm not sure how well Rayman Legends will sell on those soon-to-be outdated systems, since the game will launch in September...right before fall/holiday.

 Re: Rayman Legends
Yea I think most people are upset that the Wii U game is done, but it was delayed just because of the other versions. Yes, Ubisoft has confirmed... the delay was only because they want to release all versions at the same time. So frustrating!

 Rayman Legends
And for that reason, I have become upset as well. They have a game that is finished, just sitting there. Their idea for making us feel better -- giving us another demo. Woohoo!

I was considering the title as it is, but by Sept there will be news of other releases for games we don't even know about and/or ones that will be at E3 this year. So now from being a maybe, it is a definitely not.

I know I'll be less excited to play it by then.

 Re: Rayman Legends
That's low... almost as low as all the promises they broke just to make Raving Rabbids a launch title.

 Re: Rayman Legends
I saw no point in them delaying it for wii u just to make it multiplatform, they should have released it when it was scheduled and then begin work on the other consoles versions.

 Re: Rayman Legends
I guess if Wii U install base was larger then they'd probably release it, but with such low sales going forward, I guess they imagine might be better off waiting and doing a grand launch together with the other systems. But then, if Xbox next box and ps4 are out then and other high profile games, RL will be overshadowed by larger games and events.

So, I don't really understand their move at all.

 Re: Rayman Legends
Well it looks like we are getting a little good out of this delay. Because of the delay we get 30 new levels and some new bosses, still not worth the wait though.

For me, they can add whatever they want... problem is, I won't care as much about this game because that time will surely be packed with other games. I'd rather them release it now with less content when I more time to devote to that specific game.
