It seems like it's easier to sync WiiMotes with the Wii U than it was with the Wii. The Wii U game pad doesn't hold a charge very long, we had to play with it charging. One of the downsides is that things seem to load relatively slowly. The main menus all load slowly, and it even takes longer to load into Nintendo Land than it seems like it should. On to the plus side though, it really is a fantastic party platform. We had about 15 friends together at the house and it was hard to give up the controller, playing all the competitive and co-op games were highly enjoyable with friends. I think it's great that a lot of the Nintendo Land games support up to 5 players. Most of the games can use a normal wii remote, but a few of them require you to have a wii motion plus attachment or wii motion plus controller. Off the top of my head the Zelda game definitely required motion plus. I don't think metroid blast did, but it needed a nunchuk.

 Re: Wii U Impressions
Many of us have one. Check out the other threads in the Wii U board.
If you didn't ask Walmart to ship it, you can go pick it up on the store. It is waiting for you, if you pre-ordered/lay-away.
Also, be sure to check out our impressions from things like E3, where we go into much more detail.

 Re: Wii U Impressions
I will probably wait to get it, I'm not sure if I like nintendo throwing hulu and netflix at the buyers. I got netflix but having hulu is like insult to injury, it might be free for a year possibly, but I wonder if you can opt out of hulu or not?
Tivo is not a bad option but only adds more questions then answers, I really have more things to add to this, but might be boring to read.
I do like the 3DS just urks me they did release a bigger version of it like the DS as expected, I just wish they released it a little bit earlier.

They aren't throwing it at the buyers, it's optional to sign up. I don't have either Netflix nor Hulu, and I just dumped those channels off the main home menu. I don't feel like I have to have those or use them. yu_ultidragon wrote: I do like the 3DS just urks me they did release a bigger version of it like the DS as expected, I just wish they released it a little bit earlier. I thought they released it at a good time. The main issue was with the price drop the year before. I don't think it would have been smart for us early adopters to have a price drop, then release a new version. I did upgrade, and probably wouldn't have it was sooner.

 Re: Wii U Impressions
From what I played of the wii u, which was 10 hours of black ops 2, Nintendo land, and Mario u I'd have to say the wii u is a great home console that can compete with the ps3 and 360 I greatly recommend the wii u.

As a next gen console, it should be blowing PS3 and 360 out of the water. The fact that it isn't is what makes me a skeptical man. Nobody was saying how the 360 could compete with the GCN/PS2. It was no competition.
