I've finished Paper Mario 64 and Super Paper Mario. I haven't played Thousand Year door, but I definitely plan to.

I got somewhat far in Paper mario 64 on the virtual console (never had original). Just stopped playing I guess... I got the Wii one and loved that one (beat it). I did pick up the Gamecube one, but haven't played it yet.

Excited for the new one.

Thousand Year Door is the best one, you guys are seriously missing out. That should be a priority for you all who haven't played it.

Ohh, I really want to. xD I'm thinking of picking it up in a week or two.

5 hours in, just finished World 2-1. Let it be known that I hate desert levels in Mario games... Paper Mario is no exception.

I am the exact opposite, I love the desert stages. Never been a huge fan of the water stages.

Some of the desert stages are good, others I don't like. Mariokart ones no, Mario 3 ones - yes. NSMB Wii - yes.

I'm with Weave, I always hate the Water levels. Basically every game, Mario and non-Mario I hate the Water ones. I don't like swimming, makes it go way too slow.

I'm not big on the water levels either. But anyways, I beat World 2-2 and 2-3... they were actually fun, not bad. Maybe it was just World 2-1 that was annoying. I've played a total of six and a half hours so far, really liking the game. My sister who is a big Paper Mario fan and has beat the N64 game and almost beat the GCN one... she's only played like half of what I have so far. She thinks the game is okay, and I'm really liking it. Interesting how that turned out.

Finished this the other night. As far as Paper Mario goes this one was severely lacking in story department. There wasn't nearly as much dialog in Sticker Star as there has been in the previous Paper Mario games. Overall, I still think it's a solid game with some fantastic gamepay but I still find myself craving a Paper Mario game more in line with Thousand Year Door. I understand that the developers want to incorporate new ideas and draw in different audiences but I can't help but feel Sticker Star fell short in a lot of areas that has made the Paper Mario franchise so great.

I think it's a pretty good game. I do miss the XP system, since now I feel more likely to dodge the random battles when possible. When XP is involved, you feel inclined to fight everything you can to gather the XP. Plus since you can only hold so many stickers, there's times where I have powerful stickers that I'm saving for the bigger battles, but then forced to use on the smaller ones. I'm not going to waste a Line Jump sticker on a single goomba which is silly if that is the one I feel I should use (instead of a shell or other big stickers).

I know the sticker book should be restricting, but I feel like where I'm at in World 2, that 3 or 4 pages isn't enough when you are carrying around those huge stickers. I think you should have a separate album for those.

I carry around a number of the thing stickers since I never know when I'll need them, and instead of having to toss or sell some of the rarer stickers, I'd rather just use the space for them. I learned my lesson with the first boss since I nearly died and I could have ended the battle earlier had I known to carry 1 of the 2 large stickers for it to end it quicker.

I'm ready to start the world 2 boss stage when I fire it up again.

I like it. Though I had trouble with getting the tablet pieces in World 2. Especially 2-4...I thought the fan would've made more sense. xd

So far, I've made it through the World 1 and 2 bosses without much problem, other than Kersti yelling about using too many stickers. It's a bit annoying that even the Flashy stickers barely do any damage to the bosses. To be honest, as long as you can hit what you want from the battle spinner, battles are never a problem. In fact, I haven't even bothered with carrying around Mushroom stickers. :D

I agree that Sticker Star is lacking in the story department. I mean, Bowser Jr. is introduced right off the bat, and then he doesn't show up for World 1, 2, or 3. Granted, I'm not done with World 3 yet, but it doesn't seem like he'll show up there.

Yeah I would have liked more battles with Bowser Jr. (He's one of my favorite Mario characters) and Kamek. They really don't show up all that much. I was pleasantly surprised with the boss battles in worlds 3, 4, and 5. I won't spoil anything though. Another random complaint I have is that the last two Paper Mario games haven't had Kammy Koopa. It made sense in Super Paper Mario because Bowser is in your party but in Sticker Star Kamek should have been replaced by Kammy. Again I'm nitpicking and this is by no means a bad game. Just different from what I was initially expecting.

Apparently I have too many weak stickers for the boss fight. I couldn't beat the world 2 boss after 2 attempts. Great now I need to sell my good stickers and buy 1 sticker for like 2 pages worth. Then be unprepared for World 3.

Make sure to keep those Thing Stickers handy. They are really useful for boss battles.

Yep, just need to replace all of my hammer stickers (which is like an entire page), and a number of others. Basically keeping my special ones and will need my shell ones just in case. Basically need that jump one, seems to do the most damage (the spring shaped one). Those hammer ones are very ineffective against this boss.
