I found this info in a thread on Gamespot. I don't think it will turn out to good since Activision holds the rights to the James Bond game series now. Discuss.

I've learned so far that I have to keep an "I'll believe it when I see it" mindset, especially about things like this.

Dude, lately you've been posting multiple things without even doing any research. The ONLY thing this means is that there is chance we will get a new GoldenEye game. It does not say anywhere that this is a Wii-make. You must have forgotten GoldenEye: Rogue Agent, meaning GoldenEye is a series not just one game. This just means another game in the GoldenEye series.

It does not say that it isnt a Wii-remake of either GoldenEye games that exists.

But before I entertain that notion, we might as well wait until 2010 E3. I cant really imagine them releasing anything about this before then. L.A. Noire seems to be of more importance to them, since we actually have some news for that.

We could get into a whole discussion about this, but the people that know what they're talking about on other forums aren't even entertaining the notion that it is a Wii-make because of how these things work. You can hold on to a belief that it is a Wii-make or whatever, but it isn't.

Thanks. And it's not complaining. It's the truth. There is a difference between a re-make and a new title. Activision's plans leaked out earlier this year saying there was a new James Bond game in the works and some people have been doing research and linked these things together. It's new, not a re-make. Not being nitpicky, just telling it how it is.

I'm wondering if it would be smarter for them to remake the original or to create a new game (similar to Rogue Agent...but better hopefully). Hmmm...

They should just wait until the next movie to be honest.

Maybe so, but I think they want to milk the Goldeneye name for all its worth...or more.

We've heard nothing more, unless something was announced this weekend cause I haven't really checked around much this weekend.

Nope. I expect to hear something soon, because I think I remember reading something about Activision planning to release a new Bond game Q1 2010.

All this info comes from GoNintendo's email they received from an anonymous source. While I have NO idea if I believe it or not, I thought it would be interesting to share and discuss. Maybe if it is real, we'll get to see/hear more at E3.

Yeah, that's what struck me as odd...

This is Go Nintendo we are talking about... be VERY SKEPTICAL. I personally don't believe it. I do think there is a Goldeneye game coming to Wii, but it's not a remake and it won't have the stuff that Go Nintendo showed. That seems the most likely and that's what the recent rumors from reliable sources say... as opposed to Go Nintendo which is very untrustworthy.

As I stated earlier, I do not know if I believe it or not. And honestly, GoNintendo also has it posted as a rumor too.

- may be a remake of the N64 title

I think if any GoldenEye game comes out it will be a sequel to Rogue Agent. If any of you guys beat Rogue Agent then you already know it was set up to have a sequel with the conversation at the end of the game between two of the villians. Although a sequel would seem odd seeing as how EA developed and published Rogue Agent and now Activision has the licence to James Bond. Another thing is that EA was working on a sequal but it was scrapped due to poor sales of the first game if Activision picked this up I feel like they would lose money. Anyways, I'm really skeptical of any GoldenEye game coming out.

Never got to the end of Rogue Agent. I got bored before then, and ended up trading it in. Oh well...

Since I barely played the game, I can't say if it's new or a remake, but it's coming.

They yanked the video. Too bad... Maybe more later.
