I've figured out the point system in this game. Every 10th of a second is 1 point, so 1 second is 10 points. Every goal starts with 500 points and starts subtracting points for every 10th of a second it takes you to get to the next goal. If it takes you over 50 seconds, that will be -500 points, so by the time you get to the next goal you will have 0 points for that particular goal. I may not be right on this, but I think that if you skip a goal then that nullified goal will count as a 500 point bonus toward the next goal, so skipping goals is a very effective way of optimizing score. The maximum points (not possible) if you were hacking, would be 10 goals x 4 maps x 500 points = 20,000 points. I think that a realistic max time is somewhere in the 17,000 point range if someone were to manage to execute all known shortcuts flawlessly, and the 18,000 point range if some new glitches are found.

Bananas do not count for points, they are entirely optional. The only use they have is to activate the coins along the map, or if you are going for the Perfect Run stamp then you need to get through without dying and grabbing all bananas (coins are optional).

I just remembered about the contest now, sad that I didn't have time to make a better score. Tomorrow I'll take a picture and upload it here, but I may not need to if Noah had a higher score.
