For one, they never promised anywhere that we would for sure get a prize for 1st in round one. It was a maybe on their end; odds are we will get something but they're probably still finalizing the details of the "what" that it is we'll be getting. Don't expect to find out probably until around the time of the next round, or when the tournament is wrapping up. The most logical thing to do would be to wait til it wraps up so they can get everyone's mailing addresses at that point; if you qualified for multiple prizes by the end, they'll save on shipping by bundling items together.

Re: OFFICIAL NintendoFuse Mariokart 7 Tournament
Not counting the 3 Grand Prizes (Wii U, NSMB U, Sonic Racing), I counted about 25 prizes.
Here's what we got:
- CM4 Catalyst Slim cover for PSPgo (color: grey) - CM4 Catalyst Slim cover for Nintendo3DS (color: black) - 2 of them - Plants vs Zombies Action Figure - Zombie with Traffic Cone on Head - Plants vs Zombies Action Figure - Plain Zombie - Penguin United Game Card pouch for DS or 3DS cartridges (holds 24) - 1 black, 3 pink, 3 navy blue - Hyperkin Power Pak Plus Battery Pak for Nintendo 3DS - iMP tech Animal Themed 3DS case holds 3DS and 3 cartridges - 1 Panda, 1 Meerkat - 6 games (3 Plants vs. Zombies DS, 3 card/puzzle games) - 4 Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword Lanyards
Now, I was thinking of doing the following: 1st Place (of finals) - Wii U + Lanyard 2nd Place (of finals) - Wii U game (choice) + Lanyard 3rd Place (of finals) - Other Wii U Game + Lanyard 4th Place - one of the 6 games (choice) + Lanyard 5th place - one of the 6 games (choice) 6th Place - one of the 6 games (Choice) 7th Place - one of the 6 games (choice) 8th place - one of the 6 games (choice)
The above counts the 8 winners of the round on Saturday November 10th.
Now that leaves us with about 16 prizes. I'm not sure if the PSP case counts, unless someone wants to claim that (must have placed FIRST or Second). The prizes I was going to divide between 1st and 2nd place finishers. If no one that placed first or second claims the PSP case, then I will be working with what prizes go to the first place finishers, then lotto the remaining 7 prizes between the 8 second place finishers. Or I might be selecting a few of the better prizes in the bunch and bundling them with 5-8th place and lotto just a few prizes.

Greg
When can we start choosing prizes
As u know me and mavrick are racing at a certain time tonight so can we both pick a prize assuming we would win and if we lose then we hope our prize is still in by the time u are raffling off prizes to the second place finishers
Also can u explain what the 3ds battery pack does?

Also can u explain what the 3ds battery pack does? I'm only allowing the PSP case as a choice, I was going to identify the 8 better prizes of the bunch and thinking of lotto-ing them between the 8 first place finishers. Same with the second place finishers. This is if and only if the PSP case is claimed. I know not all of us have a PSP, so I don't want to make someone get something they cannot use in the least bit. The battery pack is a battery extension. Basically it adds an extra 4-6 hours of battery life to the 3DS (not compatible with 3DS XL). Basically it plugs into the charging slot on the back and adds a little width (not much) and there's a switch on the back to activate the additional battery. It charges via USB. Typically I would let the 3DS battery nearly die, then switch it on. Then when it was completely dead, I would remove the battery pack (slides right off somewhat easily) and charge the 3DS like normal and charge the battery pack by plugging into a computer (no software required).

A very nice help for long trips or days at a convention or something where you play a lot.

Re: OFFICIAL NintendoFuse Mariokart 7 Tournament
Well I got almost half responses. Based on that, I'm thinking the following:
Saturday November 10th: Noon-2pm block 2pm-4pm block 4pm-6pm block
Sunday November 11th: 4pm-6pm
Based on this I have:
Noon-2pm EST: Funkman64 mnemosy Mavrick593
2pm-4pm EST: bittripfan Prof3ssor MGW zingzing45
4pm-6pm EST: Luigitime67
SUNDAY 4pm-6pm EST: NoahDP Subtle?
Ebil I know you responded, but since you have open availability I did not assign a slot to see where others want to sign in. Subtle or Zing if that time doesn't work, you can select another. I will be PMing this to the ones that did not respond.

Re: OFFICIAL NintendoFuse Mariokart 7 Tournament
Actually, I'll do PMs tomorrow night. We have both showdown's going down tonight and it would be unfair for the times to fill up too quickly. Anyone that wants to change or put in a request can still do so.
Please either make a selection or indicate open availability.
Dark_Banana/PLWilliams87 you guys should probably respond if you need to get your preference in (or PM it).
Either PM or post your availability, I need to keep it balanced now, having 4 sets of 6, so I really hope it works out.

The pack itself is also a sort of rubbery texture, so it adds some grip to the system as well.

Re: OFFICIAL NintendoFuse Mariokart 7 Tournament
Ok looks appealing to me and how does the prize system work again (for 1st and 2nd place finishers)
Also there is a chance that I am not available for 4-6, 3-5 may be a bit better in my preference...if possible

Alright sounds good, I'll mark that one for you. Mavrick593 wrote: Do you anticipate the finals will be on the following weekend (Nov 17/18)? Right now, I only want to have it on the 17th. I'd love to have it at like a 1-3, 2-4, or 3-5 to allow everyone sufficient time to have their lives and/or go camping for the Wii U if needed. Let's be honest, on the 18th those of us that reserved it will be wanting to play it.

I may not be able to do the Sunday round since I don't have much time around 5-930, 12-2 or 2-4 on Saturday is the better choice for me

It was only a survey part, I just want to try to be fair. If Sunday doesn't work for 5 others, then noah will unfortunately have to sit out. That block could be doubled up with another one, or be a before/after time block, or overlap 2 of the Saturday blocks.
